【摘要】:Paints,ifnotformulatedorprocessedproperlymaysettleexcessively.Paintthatsettlesexcessivelyisdifficulttoreincorporateintothepaintsystemcausingtimedelaysorvaluablepigmentbeingleftinthedrum.ThistestmethodisanattempttoevaluatethedegreeofsettlingcausedbytheacceleratedTestMethodD1309.ThisverysubjectivemethodofevaluationinconjunctionwiththevariablesofTestMethodD1309raisesquestionsastotheusefulnessoftheresultsforspecificationcompliance.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthedegreeofpigmentsuspensionandeaseofremixingashelf-agedsampleofpainttoahomogeneousconditionsuitablefortheintendeduse.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
